The term "UK&CD" in these rules refers to the "United Kingdom and Crown Dependencies". This means jurisdictions allocated
prefixes G, GD, GI, GJ, GM, GU and GW. The term "non-UK" means anywhere outside the UK&CD.
General Rules for RSGB HF Contests apply to this contest.
Using only next frequencies: 1810-1840kHz only.
UK entrants who hold a valid Ofcom NoV may use Contest Call Signs (SCC). |
All entrants (UK&CD and non-UK) may contact all other stations. |
Exchanges:
UK&CD: RST + Serial number + UK District code.
Non-UK: RST + Serial number.
Serial Numbers start at 001.
Entrants must log the exchange received from stations competing in other contests and from non-contestants. Minimum exchange from
a non-contestant is a signal report. Exchanges from stations in other contests must be logged as sent. |
Points for QSO:
2 points per QSO.
5 Bonus points for the first QSO with each UK District and with every DXCC Country (entity) outside the UK&CD. |
Logs:
Logs must be in Cabrillo format.

If a computer was not used for logging, entries may be submitted on paper. The RSGB General Rules explain the procedure. |

Awards:
The Somerset Trophy is awarded to the leading UK&CD entrant, Unassisted Section. Maitland Trophy is awarded to
the Scottish entrant, Unassisted Section, with the highest aggregate number of points in the February and November 1.8MHz
contests.
The top three mixed-mode entrants in each Section (UK&CD and non-UK) are awarded certificates. |
